NO MORE POWER SHUTOFFS

“I called Fresh Energy Systems on a Tuesday and left a message. I called two other solar service suppliers the same day. Dan Felperin, from Fresh Energy Systems, called back the same day and set up an appointment. I’m still waiting for return calls from the other two suppliers. Dan was on-time for our appointment and within an hour I had a pretty good grasp of what alternative installations were possible, my energy needs, cost and schedule. Completion was estimated at six weeks out. Within two weeks I was up and running. (It took another week to get PG&E to recognize my system and set up Net Energy Metering.) I’ve been running for 6 months now with no local system downtime and what looks like sufficient PG&E NEM credit to make it through the winter. I am PSYCHED! “In May of 2011, I contracted with Fresh Energy Systems (Dan the solar man) to install 20 solar panels on my 1850 sq ft house. Except for a propane furnace, my home is all electric. Since the solar installation my total electric bill has been approximately $350.00. This is mostly due to the minimum charges made by PG&E for monthly service. Dan is passionate and knowledgeable about his product and his installers are courteous and professional. Since the installation Dan has always been available to help with questions and the couple of small warranty issues I have encountered. Since installing the system in 2009 I only have had to pay PGE the monthly “distribution costs,” which amounts to about $12.00 per month. I chose to use the “time of use” plan with the meter running in reverse when I am producing more energy than needed. With the help of Dan, the Solar Man, I was able to precisely calculate my usage and the result is an electric bill of virtually $0.
